The existing U.S. fuel ethanol market is large and rapidly growing. Despite this, there is still a large gap between current ethanol production and what is required to meet demand and achieve U.S. fuel independence.
• Global climate change, high oil prices affecting economic growth, inflation and lack of energy security have increased public awareness and demand for green renewable technology.

• Algenol can contribute to the domestic production of fuel.

• Algenol can contribute to the reduction of trade deficits by keeping money in the U.S. Payments to the Middle East can be reduced by growing fuel on America’s marginal land.

• U.S. Government ethanol production guidelines call for 7.5 BGY by 2012 and favorable government policies to help innovate alternatives to develop and attain long-term alternative fuels goals and to reduce dependence on foreign oil.

• As ethanol is made more cost efficiently than gasoline, it is anticipated that the demand and capacities will increase geometrically and drive the infrastructure overhaul necessary to make renewable fuels a reality in everyday life.

• Alternative ethanol is seen as commercially viable and vital to the growth of alternative fuels as corn ethanol is having serious inflationary impact on U.S. macroeconomics without providing significant volumes of transportation fuel.
